JAMES BESHARA
James Beshara is the creator and owner of the company Magic Mind which was founded in 2020. James has been very successful with Magic Mind, as it has earned over $60 million in revenue in the short time that it has been off the ground. James is also a successful author, podcaster, and angel investor, and has started several other companies, one of which was acquired by Airbnb.
Although James has had a fruitful career, it wasn’t easy for him to achieve his success and he has had many trials on his road to fortune.
At the young age of 15 James lost his older sister. On his podcast, he vulnerably shared how his family has a history of mental illness and when his sister was 18, she lost her battle to depression when she took her own life. The tragedy of losing a family member is one that cripples many; however, James said that losing his sister taught him how fragile life is. His perspective changed for the better as he now approaches each day remembering how precious it is to be alive.
James went on to graduate college in 2008 from Wake Forest University. After graduating he lived in South Africa for several years where he began to grow his interest in philosophy and worked in development and poverty alleviation.
He stated that this time in his life was filled with many failures. James had started several companies and projects, none of which still exist today. One of the major companies he started was called Tilt. Tilt was a crowdfunding organization that was acquired by Airbnb for $12 million, a fraction of what it was actually worth. He shares that the process of selling his company was very tumultuous and he wished he had someone to guide him through this decision.
Although the process wasn’t exactly ideal, James has shared that he learned a lot about business and how looking for validation that you’re working on the ‘right’ thing- wether thats from income, status, or approval- can end up leaving you at a disadvantage.
When James was running Tilt, it had 50 employees and he was incredibly stressed out from managing such a large team. He stated that he would have to drink at least 6 cups of coffee to get through each day. All of this led to some serious health issues.
Due to his high daily intake of caffeine and large amounts of stress, James was rushed to the ER in his twenties and was diagnosed with a heart condition. James’ doctor told him that he had to limit his caffeine intake to a maximum of half a cup of coffee per day in order to maintain his health. He also told James that he could drink green tea alongside his coffee, which would add calmness while keeping him alert. Little did James know that this new information was going to be the foundation of a million-dollar company.
Since then, James has dedicated a decade of research to finding the most sustainable and efficient way to boost energy, enhance focus, create a sense of calm alertness, and increase overall productivity. That’s how he landed on Magic Mind. Magic Mind is a ‘productivity shot’ that is filled with real ingredients to help you sustain energy and enter the flow state. This small drink is jam-packed with different mushrooms, nootropics (natural molecules that improve cognitive functions), and adaptogens (natural substances that help the body adapt to stress).
Magic Mind is currently run out of California, where James resides with his wife, daughters, and pet dog. Despite facing many challenges and overcoming several failures, James has become triumphant in gaining wealth and personal freedom. He is a living testament of how hard work and never giving up will always lead to success.
